I'd be glad to help with designing a poster or something like that, but I would really hope to get a lot of input from others as to what to have on it. As it is, I'm still lokking for ideas for what to put on my fibromyalgia website. I have some ideas for unique a design concept, but I also want to have unique content so it's not just another fibro website.

I think I would have to upload the final design (of the poster) somewhere to be downloaded and printed out by anyone who would like to, since I don't have the resources to print much myself.

I think that most of the posters and brochures that are found in doctor's offices are provided by the Arthritis Foundation. There are various groups that organize events for May 12, Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.

Any suggestions and ideas for this poster are certainly welcome and encouraged. Perhaps we can start another thread about this in the advocacy and awareness section and get some real feedback from our members?

By the way, WELCOME pfear, and thanks for posting!

Heh, that is a really great idea, Tom is a great designer. He did the logo that was on the old site, that I have to read up on getting on this site.

Like I said I just started to get a few web jobs and they have kept me a bit busy, also am getting ready to start candy for easter since I make home made and am runing out of time!

If Tom could come up with something related to the logo for the forum, I think that would be an excellent idea, and am anxious to hear what others have to say.

Nice idea! Thanks!

hi everyone,
I came acrossed this site from another board but I had been searching for information on fibro for quite awhile before finding it . I live in a very small town and theres not much here in libaries or anywhere else on info. How about designing a poster that we can print and post in libraries , Drs offices etc. Just an idea smiley

I just wanted to refresh this thread. I don't know how else to get people here other then to post it on other boards and I know other board owners don't like to see that kind of post and most often it is not allowed in the board rules.

I see many other support boards are folding up these days or are very slow. Sad

 Any ideas yet?

I really wish there was something I could do to get more members here?

Hi Shirl. I tried replying to this last week, but was having computer proiblems that were frustrating me so much that I gave up on it for a few days. So far today it is behaving (knock on veneer).

I personally am not as concerned about finding members as I am about getting the people who DO find us to get more involved. As Deb has pointed out, there seem to be plenty of people finding us through search engines or other means... but when they get here, most don't post much, if at all. I put up this suggestion box and have asked several times what people like or don't like... what we could add or change to improve things and what they are looking for that they can't find here.

Forums like this, and the internet in general are a great tool for getting information and communicating with people who have common interests, but there seems to be a growing climate of paranoia or shyness on the internet. It seemed like a few years ago people wanted to talk more and get more involved in things.

I guess we just have to keep doing what we're doing and hope that it is helpful to some people.

Hi Shirl,
I had one person come here and join to post information for another fms group. It didn't bother me. I figure if someone here can find informatio that we don't have, then it is great!

I know even some of the tech forums that I am on are very slow right now, and maybe because it is getting close to people going outside with the nice weather. Which is great because we all need exercise. when the time is right people will come. Even if they only stop for information, then I feel that we have done something good for someone else.

If anyone has any ideas about finding places to locate new people let me know, or, feel free to do it on your own.

I have submitted this site to google. I'm not sure yet if it has been placed yet or not.

We need to reach an audiance of people who have questions and need to find supportive friends to reach out to them.

Thanks.
